In this issue:

⇒ The problem: Most founders treat LinkedIn like a side hustle, posting randomly and hoping for the best.

⇒ The solution: We identified 4 founder archetypes that dominate LinkedIn, each with a strategy for turning content into customers.

⇒ The playbook: Take our archetype quiz, pick your archetype, and stop treating your personal brand like an afterthought.

Content from personal brands gets 8× more engagement than company pages

But most founders post randomly and wonder why their "personal brand" isn't moving the needle on leads.

We studied dozens of B2B founders who turned their personal brands into growth engines, and found something interesting:

They all fall into 4 archetypes.

Each archetype has its own way of turning followers into customers.

The best part? You don't need to reinvent the wheel. You just need to figure out which archetype fits you (we've built a quiz for that), get inspired by successful examples (we've got lots of them listed here), and keep posting consistently.

📌 Resource 2: 90-day Zmistification Roadmap

“Zmistification” is a coined term for our approach to content marketing. It's how we build content strategies focused on creating demand for your brand and positioning your company as the go-to authority in your industry.

👉 Start with an audit and see exactly what to audit your content for

👉 Build content that creates demand for your brand (we've got three models for that)

👉 Distribute your content to help it rank in Google and LLMs

The 4 founder archetypes that own LinkedIn

We analyzed successful B2B founders and found that they each embody one of four distinct archetypes.

1/4 The product storyteller

Lives and breathes the product. Shares updates, wins, and lessons from the trenches. Posts screenshots of user feedback, talks about feature decisions, shows the messy middle of building something people want.

Why it works: This archetype builds trust through transparency.

1/2 The industry influencer

Spots patterns and trends. Teaches through frameworks, market analysis, and deep dives. Always has a hot take on industry news, backed up with data and experience.

Why it works: When people need someone who "gets" the industry, they think of you first.

1/3 The career coach

Open about failures, growth, and leadership lessons. Writes with vulnerability. Shares what they wish they'd known five years ago.

Why it works: Builds deep emotional connection through relatability.

1/4  The community leader

Highlights others. Starts conversations. Treats LinkedIn like a group chat. Asks questions, amplifies other voices, makes introductions.

Why it works: When people need connections or opportunities, they come to you first.

Which one feels most like you?

What's the biggest roadblock in building a founder brand on LinkedIn?

Pick all that applies:

  • Posting regularly feels like a second job

  • Without fast results, you lose motivation

  • Content ideas dry up quickly

  • You don’t see how LinkedIn connects directly to sales

  • Writing about yourself feels awkward

  • You’re worried people will cringe at your posts

Building a founder brand on LinkedIn is hard. That's exactly why some founders are coming to us. We help them identify their archetype, build their content strategy, and create content that moves the needle.

Let's address the elephant in the room

Most people think AI will make a personal brand for them. It won't. Most AI-only posts sound identical. People spot them instantly.

AI can help as an assistant, but it doesn't know your voice, your ideal customer, or your lived experience.

Here is how we work with AI

  1. We take podcast transcripts, interviews, and founder's best content, then feed it to AI to create a detailed voice analysis.

  1. We identify their humor patterns, confidence markers, and founder-specific thinking styles.

  1. Then we build custom GPT bots that can write in their authentic voice.

You won't feel the difference between human-written and AI-generated content using this approach.
